Nicholas Knapp, 32, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 23, after he allegedly became violent and kicked another vehicle that had almost hit his vehicle on Wasserman Way, said Newtown Lt. Aaron Bahamonde.

An investigation by Newtown Police found that Knapp, who was driving a 2012 Kenworth T800 construction vehicle for KTI Utility, and another motorist who was driving a 2004 Jaguar X-Type sedan, engaged in a dispute after the sedan almost hit the Kenworth, Bahamonde said.

During the dispute, Knapp allegedly got out of his vehicle and kicked the Jaguar's right front door leaving a dent and scuff mark behind, he added.

Knapp was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 7.
